I'm a big fan of Dan's show. Been listening for a while. Dan's way of thinking about things a big, big influence (and I make it no secret to anyone who asks). Actually, I do a show myself and we did an audio commentary based on the interview (I know that it was frustrating for some, but it was pretty provocative for yours truly). I just don't do messageboards very often because I'm busy...I actually signed up for this board back in May and it took until now for me to post something up.

You can blame the basketball court near my house. I've been reading through the board for a while, and I dig what generally goes down, so I'll try to get on more often...though you might have to wait until it's too cold for me to play basketball.

Loved the interview. Thought that both you and Cenk were basiclly on the same page. I think that maybe the two of you would make good co-hosts. Cenk has more of a colour commentary feel to him while you provide the factual content. I know its been a while since i've posted but I am still listening and following the show. I have been busy with my own political career. (info to be posted later)


If I may offer a small suggestion, come in with a single topic or news event that can help shape the conversation. Having a topic in hand will help that control both parties from getting off topic. Another idea would be to center the topic on a broad idea like seperation of powers and how that has affected history ( and history affecting the political process). A topic like that will give you the range to talk braodly about a subject but keeping it within a area of conversation.

So, to paraphrase your suggestion...

Don't assume, just because it is his interview/show/podcast, that he has any plan or idea what you should discuss. Bring your own, just in case?

I think it's good advice. A sad statement on the quality of interviews today, but good advice!
