Hey Smukie, I got a great-looking banner on my blogspot blog. I just added it using the html box on the edit layout. I don't know maybe try using a different banner (the html sometimes doesn't work with blogger)

No prob. Sorry it took me so long to get around to it.

I'm doing okay until the end of the fiscal year; after that is anybody's guess. These days I'm a little obsessed with preparing for the worst case. Can't have too many irons in the fire right in times like these.

Does anyone have the oats to code a banner that will do one (or both) of the following:

1) Insert a random quote (thinking of Common Sense specifically here) from the stable of quotes used on the sites front page
2) Display the latest episode

Either of these would be killer. If you can do the coding but can't do the art let me know; I can 'shop a banner to suit the needs of such coding if you let me know what you need.

I'd argue that intuition that is not common is not in fact common sense. Common sense is limited to things that the majority of people in a particular culture take for granted without having to explicitly mention it. It is about things that people just kind of assume should be a certain way. When a perspective on how things should be done is no longer commonly understood, it is not common sense anymore (no matter how obvious it is to YOU). It has now become clever intuition (if correct), and must be reintroduced to the common understanding. Much of what Dan talks about may have been common sense at one time, but is no longer legitimately common sense since it is outside of most people's current understanding of how things should be.
