Does anyone out there have any recommendations for books that tie in with the excellent punic wars and death of the republic series.

Apologies in advance if this question has already been answered a dozen time ! :D

Apparently once the shows cease to be free, you can't see the show-notes anymore, so nothing on the Punic series. Maybe this is something that Parrot or somebody could fix?

Polybius is a great read. deals extensively within the Punic wars period. Unfortunately the part of the story he actually witnessed (the third Punic war) was mostly lost and we only have snippets.
Appian's Roman History is IMHO the best description of the Punic wars. He is vivid in his descriptions of the battles and the politics back home. One of my favorite ancient writers.

Try going to the shopping cart:

http://www.dancarlin.com/dccart

The History show is here:

http://dancarlin.com/dccart/index.php?m ... ex&cPath=1

If you click on the episodes in the cart a page comes up that says the books Dan used as sources.

The Death throes ones should be in the pages Flynn pointed you to. They are still available in our feed.
