Stunts like this lead to violence, which precipitates even more violence in return. Before you know it the majority of the public is forced to choose a side, though they were previously on the fence. Then it's on.

Fringe groups start coming out of the woodwork, sales of guns and ammunition skyrocket. The National Guard gets called out to squash pockets of resistance. But it's too late. Each new act of violence fuels the flames even higher.

Plenty of Catholic churches in my area. So far no escalation of violence. Let alone any violence at all.

I think it's more likely you'll see lone wolf type violence than any sort of organized campaign. Stunts like these are just media fodder that everyone will forget about in no time.

Also according to the article only one person allegedly dumped the condoms. And the other claims made in the article become suspect after reading

I'm just going to point out the obvious before anyone takes this twit serious.

He links to a foxnews radio host's opinion article and to a forum post that only links to another forum post and to the same fox news article. The forum post linked to in his forum post only links to the same foxnews article.

Now the article itself is a opinion hit piece. No where in the article is any kind of photographic evidence that such an event even occured. According to the highly opinionated article The pro choice protesters were counter protesting a pro life rally, not just pelting Catholic schoolgirls with condoms was the OP implies. And lastly the article used as the sole source for all this managed to get three or more quotes from the pro life protesters but failed to get a single one from the other side, failing to even confirm if they ARE OWS or not.

This article is a complete FAIL and hondo is a complete FAIL at life for not only believing whatever he is told but also spreading anything he hears.

If it happened, we should not expect much violence from the Catholic schoolgirls. After all, Jesus warned about such things, and told us to love our enemies.

If the Catholic schoolgirls in Rhode Island are anything like the ones in Louisiana, they really needed some.

So . . . no verification on the story, just a link to some reactionary fascist site calling OWS terrorists and accusing them of attacking children.

Sadly, I know many in this town who would fall for such un-verifiable rubbish.

This is ridiculous, for the reasons that TAN mentioned and the fact that the objects that were thrown/dumped on the school girls were condoms, what kind of damage would a condom do, its not going to cause a concussion and cut someone, its not likely to mentally damage the "Victims" so whats the fuss. Perhaps if it had been rocks or some other hard object then yeah you would have a reason to complain, but Condoms. Honestly Hondo calm down.

Yeah i was wondering if they were used or not, couldn't see any mention of it in the article, but really it wouldn't have made much of a difference, it would have been the equivalent of a school yard prank.

Thats all the mention of the actual incident, but its most likely they were not used, who could actually be bothered to go and collect a box full of used condoms when you could buy a box of unused ones in a fraction of the time it would take to collect the used ones.

Assuming it happened, it's a low-class move by whoever did it.

Hardly newsworthy, though. And not likely to require therapy to repair the emotional scars.

So, does that mean if somebody threw cooked ground beef at a bunch of vegans who were just going about their day, you'd tell them not to complain about it?

Oh sure complain but don't make it out to be more than it is, was anybody hurt? No. And if you get emotionally scared from someone throwing condoms on you then there is no hope for you. At the end of the day nobodies life was ruined by this prank, it was silly and stupid but nothing major.
