As I’ve come to expect from Dan Carlin, this story of early 20th Century America is thorough, entertaining and informative. There were many gaps in what I knew about this era, but Dan’s filled in quite a few of those gaps. I refer to him as “Ear Heroin”. Absolutely addictive!! 🙂

I love the take on TR and HC Lodge. Great job as usual.

Not even in two American History courses did I get this story in it’s beautiful glory in the way that Dan Carlin is able to describe. As always, Dan is fantastic in his attention to detail and ability to make history dramatic and entertaining. My favorite part of this podcast is how Dan compares current day events to really add weight to history. This podcast never ceases to be the thing that makes me look forward to long drives.

Great podcast. The most important part and what makes this one and similar hardcore history podcasts interesting is not the dry historical facts but the explanation of the background, reasons and general mood in the era and during the event
